The countdown is officially on. There is a buzz of excitement in the air as we put the finishing touches on this year’s Walk to End Hunger. Whether you have been attending for years or this will be your first time, we are thrilled to welcome you to a morning dedicated to helping relieve food insecurity.
This year we are shaking things up with a few changes. The walk will be on Saturday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. It will still be located at the Pius X School track, so attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for the walk. Another logistical note to keep in mind is where to park. Since Pius X School is currently working on construction, attendees are asked to park either in the few spots closest to the track, in the east school parking lot, or across the street, including the church parking lot.
Some of the activities will include raffles, a clown with balloons and a firetruck. Attendees can expect to enjoy vendors such as Valentino’s, Chick-fil-A, kolaches from a local bakery and beverages to cool down during the walk. Keep watching csshope.org for more information, including an upcoming podcast highlighting the event. Hope to see you on 8/8.
