Athlete of the Week - Lexi Theis, Sophomore, Fillmore Central

Fillmore Central forward Lexi Theis helped the Panthers to a third-place finish in the Southern Nebraska Conference tournament this past weekend in Utica. The 5-foot-11 sophomore scored 15 points in the quarterfinal win over the Centennial Broncos and 14 in the semifinal loss to the Milford Eagles. Theis scored 33 points over three games, averaging 11 per game. She was 13 of 19 from the field over that stretch for better than 68 percent. Theis also pulled down 18 rebounds, including 11 in the semifinal with Milford. Theis is averaging 9.8 points per game, but over the last six is putting up 12.5.
