After snapping a six-game losing streak, the York Dukes boys basketball team is 4-1 in its last five and playing the best ball of the season in a down year. One of the key members of the team is junior Jake Erwin, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard who does a little bit of everything for the Dukes. In Friday night’s win over Holdrege, Erwin scored 12 points on an efficient 6 of 7 shooting from the floor. He stuffed the stat sheet with seven assists, six rebounds and six assists. A day later in a Saturday night win over Columbus Lakeview, Erwin had another efficient outing, scoring 13 points on 5 of 6 shooting with four boards, three steals and two assists.
