Multiple Police Officer Positions
The York Police Department currently has multiple openings. We are looking for motivated,
community-minded individuals to fill multiple Police Officer positions and a Support Services Officer. We
take our obligation to serve the public seriously, and welcome others looking to meet challenges head-on.
The hourly salary range for Police Officers is $20-27 per hour with a $3000 sign on
bonus for non- certified and $6000 sign on bonus for certified officers. York offers competitive
health benefits, paid holidays, etc. Our officers stay busy with a wide range of calls for service and
community involvement. Along with typical law enforcement duties, we also work to have close
relationships with local businesses, schools, and churches; and work with local groups such
as the York Chamber of Commerce, and Four Corners Health Department.
The Animal Control/Support Services Officer is a civilian, full time position working at the York Police
Department with regular City benefits. This position is integral to the police department’s operation
and offers a chance to build trust and a future at the department. The hourly salary range for this
position is $14-18 per hour, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license,
and the ability to walk, sit, drive, utilize a computer, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Parties interested in either position are encouraged to either visit the York Police Department
and ask for an application or visit for more information.
