Yankees take Rockies 10-9 in Pony League consolation finals
YORK — The York News Times Yankees came out on top over the York Jewelry Rockies in a hard fought battle Tuesday night. Both teams played well on both sides of the ball, keeping the crowd in the game through the final out of the consolation finals.

Logan Kaliff led off the 2nd inning with a base hit to fire up the Yanks offense, followed by a Devin Knight triple that drove in two RBI’s. Jamison Nickels was also charted with two scored runs on the night.
On the defensive side, Logan Cobb led the way with three strike outs. Behind the plate at catcher, both Braden Knight and Hayden Bucholz made a strong showing.
The Rockies were led on offense by Aaron Beins scoring three runs, and notable hits from Ethan Cradick, Brody Garner, Kendall Ehlers, and Collin Kitt. Aaron Norquest also scored after hitting a nice double into the right outfield corner. On defense, Josh Garner was charted with three strike outs on the mound in a great pitching effort.
Congratulations to both teams for showing great improvement in their individual skills over the course of the season!
