Underpass to close on Monday

The York Cornerstone Junior Gold and Waverly “B” played a close game to the finish, with York rallying late to earn the victory.

Responding to about a dozen calls regarding the Gaithers, we have decided to again sponsor a bus to see this great inspirational show at the Qwest Center in Omaha. The date will be Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 and the performance begins at 7 p.m. Our bus will leave York at 3 p.m., allowing time for dinner prior to the show. We have figured the price at $80.

Justin and Amy (Mettenbrink) Johnson of Lincoln, are parents of a daughter, Gemma Marie Johnson, born at 5:56 a.m., June 24, 2008. She weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

There are certain lessons you get early in life.  We should probably learn from them.  It simplifies things for you, and prevents mistakes from happening.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Or Independence Day.

Each year, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry reviews the voting records of all 49 state senators, regarding key issues affecting the state’s business and financial climate. The review is to see how each senator voted — and whether those votes fell in line with the opinion of the organization.

Community Title has moved downtown to 610 Lincoln Avenue, York as of June 1, 2008. It was formerly located in the same building as Heritage Realtors.  Amie Kopcho is the licensed title agent and manager of the title company.
